On Wednesdays: Pretty Color!

Lilco Tex Mex

Wednesdays for me are all about color. Traditionally pink is worn today, because, Hello!… On Wednesdays we wear pink! But I really don’t discriminate; I love all colors.

Today I’m back with more goodies from the West Elm Local Launch Party I attended last week. While I was there I fell in love- like head over tush- for Lilco Letterpress and Leah Duncan. Both had gorgeous colorful offerings but completely different styles. I really couldn’t decide which one I liked better, they were both that good.

Lilco Dolly

The thing that caught my eye first was this print of Dolly. Anyone else obsessed with Dolly? If you love color and flash, you’ve gotta love Dolly! Can I say “Dolly” again? Dolly. Dolly. Ok…

The neat thing about this particular print is the fact that it is actually a part of a larger exhibition that’s made up of other Dolly prints by different artists. You can read more about the traveling exhibition, called Tease it to Jesus (!), here. It’s absolutely brillz.

Lilco also offers other prints, cards and tea towels- many with a fun Tex-Mex, southern flair. They were all bold and bright and fun!

Leah Duncan Tea Towel

Leah Duncan also was colorful, but in a more subdued way. Her colors and patterns were obviously southwestern and nature inspired and were so gorgeous! Again, so many items to choose from- prints, posters, tea towels, jewelry, pillows. And all striking.

Leah Duncan Jewelry

These jewelry pieces were tempting. They were all designed by Leah Duncan, and then hand-crafted in New Zealand. They’re classic pieces that go with everything!

Hopefully you’ve enjoyed these two talented Texas artists. Which do you prefer- bright and quirky or soft and sweet?
