Happy Monday! This past weekend was yet another that went by way too quickly! We had a teenage cousin in town visiting for the week. She’s a beautiful, fun girl, and we’re working really hard to woo her into moving to Austin to attend college. We had a fabulous time enjoying Tex-Mex, shopping, exploring Austin, and watching our local Round Rock Express baseball team.

One of the things I love about my city is that it is such an outdoorsy place. Even when it’s hot, we’re all outside playing or exercising. People here truly love where we live, and it shows!

While most of the time she was here it was muggy and rainy, there was a brief window of time when the sun was out, and Austin was absolutely gorgeous! So I put on my sassy red dress, and we headed out to play!

This adorable floral dress was picked up at H&M, and is incredibly comfortable. It’s loose and flowy so you can wear it without fear of showing off those areas you might be self-conscious of (for me it’s the, ahem, mama belly), and it’s a perfect knee-length. Plus it’s adorably boho- anyone else loving the bohemian peasant look lately?!

If you’re looking for a cute, versatile dress- this is your gal. It can be dressed down for a picnic or dressed up with booties or wedges for a night out. Since we were enjoying the weather outside, I chose to wear it with my white canvas tennies and a straw fedora to help keep the sun of my face.
