Ipsy Glam Bag: Destination Chic

My May Ipsy Glam Bag is here, and so far I’m quite happy with it! My husband and I are wanderers by nature; we love the adventure of travel and exploring the world. This global travel inspired bag speaks to me!

May 2016 Ipsy Glam Bag Destination Chic

This month’s collection included the Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eyeshadow Trio in Crush (beige), Skinny Dip (copper), and Lovely (brown), BellaPierre Cosmetics Nude Gel Lip Liner Pencil, Smashbox X-Rated Mascara, Vasanti Brighten Up! Exfoliating Cleanser, and a Vera Mona Eye Smudger Brush.

I’ve received products from a couple of these companies in the past, and have been impressed. Pacifica seems to make lovely eye shadows and super pigmented lipsticks. All of their products are gluten-free, cruelty-free, and 100% vegan. I’ve used the new eyeshadow trio a couple of times already, and I love how soft the colors are with just a little bit of shimmer. Plus, I know it’s not important in the grand scheme of things, but the packaging is just too pretty.

Smashbox is also a repeat company in my Glam Bag. When I get something from them I know it’s usually a winner! The Photo Finish Foundation Primer is just short of amazing. Apply it under your foundation or tinted moisturizer, and it makes your skin look smooth and soft as a baby’s bottom. The X-Rated mascara that I received this month made my lashes extra long and dark.

I used the Vera Mona Eye Smudger brush to apply my Pacifica eyeshadow, and while it felt a bit small, it blended beautifully. Maybe smaller is better. 😉

I was also impressed by the BellaPierre gel lip liner. I usually have to tug and pull really hard when applying any lip liner, and then after I’m never impressed by the way it looks. But this one went on so smoothly- like buttah. It’s a great nude, that will work well under brighter colors.

One of the things I love about the Glam Bag products, is that they’re larger than normal sample sizes. So, it usually takes me a while to finish a product. Some of the things I’m still using (and loving!) from last month’s bag are the City Color Cosmetics Highlighting Trio applied with the Luxie Beauty Tapered Highlighter Brush (one of my favorite makeup brushes now!), and the Tarte LipSurgence Lip Creme.
